Announcing the new IPPOG Outreach Database
IPPOG is proud to announce the first-ever global database for materials related to particle physics outreach and informal education
What is it?
This is a database that holds recommended tools and materials to be used in bringing the exciting world of particle physics to students of all ages and the general public. Here you can find videos, brochures, posters, talks, ideas for hands-on activities, and more! Items stored here are shared by members and partners of the IPPOG network.
The database interface is temporary - we plan to produce a simpler interface soon. A few items in the database require registration in order to access them (see below).
Who is the database for?
This database is for anyone engaged in particle physics outreach initiatives. This includes informal science educators & explainers, scientists and anyone wishing to help others understand the cutting-edge science of particle physics.
How do I access the database?
Anyone can access the public version of the database to browse content by clicking on the link to the right. Registered IPPOG Members and Associates may access additional content within the database for internal IPPOG use.
Can I share my ideas/materials too?
Absolutely! In order to upload materials you will need to be a registered user. This takes two easy steps. #1: Click on the "Register" link to the right and request a new CERN single sign-on account. #2: Contact the IPPOG Database administrator to have your request approved.
Once approved, you will be able to access the database as an IPPOG Associate and share materials.
Do you have any suggestions for us?
We appreciate your feedback in order to make this a useful resource. Contact us using the link on the right. |
