IPPOG Activity
Presenting HEP Outreach Resources
Three flagship Activities were structured over the years in the IPPOG Collaboration: the International Masterclass came first, the Global Cosmics group was then established. The third one deals with resources curation, for the benefit of the HEP outreach community and friends.
Two types of resources considered by previous IPPOG coordiators:
- Selection of external web sites: proposed by collaboration members and partners, in their own language.
- Resource Database (RDB): resources collected over the years by collaboration members. Some where developed within the collaboration, others by colleagues and partners. The current interface, developed for the collaboration 25th anniversary under the guidance of Barbora Bruant-Gujelova, includes tags to guide anyone interested.
Between 2023 an 2025, two new use cases were identified and followed up by Claire Adam (current coordinator):
- Publications: a selection of conference proceedings and reports that reflect the collaboration activity. They can be given on behalf of the collaboration or by forum members.
- Projects: as requested during the ICHEP 2024 conference, the objective is to focus on projects, to enhance the visibility of experienced actors, and foster contacts with beginning colleagues.
In parallel, partners and collagues were focussing on informal education material for teachers and students. In particular:
- CERN: https://educational-resources.web.cern.ch/
- Quarknet: https://quarknet.org/

Contact & gatherings
The current "Projects portal" was created in June 2025 and is largely based on presentations within meetings and/or international conferences outreach parallel sessions. During each IPPOG Collaboration Meeting (Spring and Fall):
- A "Success stories" is organised. Please contact the Chairs and Scientific Secretary if you want to present your work ? Your slides would then become the baseline of the resource web site entry.
- The overall status of the project is reviewed in a "steering meeting", where experts from various domains can also be invited to bring input and feedback.
