Today, April 14th,, the global scientific community will come together to celebrate World Quantum Day, marking 100 years since the inception of quantum mechanics. This day not only honors the profound impact of quantum science on our understanding of the universe but also highlights its transformative applications in modern technology.

1. Can you share a bit about your journey to particle physics? What drew you to the field, and how did your experiences outside of formal education shape your current career?

This month, IPPOG shines a spotlight on Ivan Melo, a theoretical particle physicist at the University of Žilina and Slovakia's representative in IPPOG . With a deep passion for scientific outreach, Ivan has dedicated his career to making complex physics concepts accessible and inspiring a new generation of enthusiasts.

February marks the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in STEM, and in honor of this occasion, we are thrilled to feature Jackie Bondell as our "Outreacher of the Month." Jackie is not only one of the most dedicated outreacher but also one of the most geographically distant IPPOG members, representing Australia.
